Since the first Art and Faith of the Crèche in 2007, the Crèche Sponsorship Program has become increasingly popular amongst our LUMA friends.

Sponsoring a crèche in the exhibition is the perfect way to honor your heritage or that of a friend, or loved one during the upcoming holiday season. With a $150 sponsorship your name or that of whomever you designate will be displayed on the label of your sponsored crèche. Your sponsorship helps us to care for this special collection and present this wonderful exhibition each year.

Crèche of the Year

Please consider sponsoring the “Crèche of the Year.” This year, the museum will showcase a Nativity scene crafted by Mexican artist Carlos Orozco from the state of Oaxaca. Well-known in Chicago, he creates alebrijes, brightly colored wood carvings of mythical creatures and animals. In honor of the ten year anniversary of Art and Faith of the Crèche, LUMA commissioned Orozco to design a crèche inspired the Oaxacan art of alebrijes. With a tax-deductible gift of $1,000, your name will be prominently displayed with the artistic credits for this Crèche and its location will be a focal point of this highly acclaimed, annual exhibition.
