By decree of Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn, the degree of doctor honoris causa is hereby awarded to Professor Timothy E. O’Brien of Loyola University Chicago, USA for sustained transformative, impactful and hands-on scholarship, mentoring, instruction and consulting in science, environmental sustainability, agriculture and medicine at the University of Phayao, Thailand, in its educational mission and outreach to improve the lives and the communities in Thailand and especially the rural peoples of Thailand.
