Judy Carbajal is a second-year nursing student at Loyola University Chicago. As a Cristo Rey Scholarship recipient, she is proud to represent Waukegan, Illinois, a city located an hour away from Loyola's Lake Shore campus. Her purposeful journey to this institution is motivated by a desire to cultivate a more comprehensive and enriched personal and academic experience through the exceptional opportunities offered by Loyola. She aspires to be a vocal advocate for minority communities, including her own, with the ultimate goal of becoming an Emergency Room nurse. Loyola's commitment to excellence and diversity strengthens her resolve to make a significant impact in healthcare by addressing the unique needs of underserved populations.
