IPS Research and Writing site
Research and writing are key components of IPS courses; in fact, we estimate that between the variety of writing assigned in each course--discussion posts, reflection papers, seminar papers, and more--students should expect to be writing an average of about 40 pages worth of text in each course. The IPS Research and Writing website will provide you with a variety of tips and tools designed to help navigate the myriad demands of research and writing that will be required during your course of studies at the IPS.
We recommend that all new students read through this site carefully, starting with "The Basics of Good Reading" and "The Basics of Good Writing." All students should regularly revisit the tools provided behind the "How to Write a Paper" and "How to Cite Sources" tabs. Whether you are a master of the digital domain or find yourself intimidated by the use of technology, the tips and tools provided here will help you succeed.
