Departmental Technology Purchases

Departmental Hardware Purchases

Information Technology Services is pleased to partner with Lenovo for the purchase of desktop and laptop computers. We use MIS, our reseller, to facilitate these purchases through their procurement website. To purchase or view our standard configurations please visit MIS.

If you require hardware or software that is not standard, you'll need to submit an online request for review. Information Technology Services will review your request.

After your HW/SW review is complete and you wish to purchase an approved Apple product, please make your purchase through CDW-G as they are our approved vendor for standard Apple products. For customized, non-standard Apple products, please open a help desk ticket for further assistance.

Departmental Software Purchases

As a member of Federation of Independent Illinois Colleges and Universities (FIICU), the university receives significant discounts on software, including Adobe and Microsoft, through ScholarBuys.

Our Microsoft Campus Agreement provides a site license for the Windows operating system and the Office Professional Plus Suite. The Office Professional Plus Suite includes Access, Excel, Infopath, Lync, OneNote, Outlook, Power Point, Publisher and Word.

To purchase additional Microsoft Applications like Visio or Project, please contact Brendon Palluck from ScholarBuys at 877.999.9294 ext. 399 or brendon.palluck@scholarbuys.com for a quote. Submit the quote to Purchasing with a Purchase Requisition and contact the ITS Service Desk to get the application installed once the order is processed.

Please note: Departmental Software can only be installed on Loyola owned desktop and laptops. To purchase software for personally owned desktops or laptops, please visit our Personal Technology Purchases page.

Sustainability

Whenever possible, Loyola purchases only Energy Star certified equipment and makes every attempt to choose EPEAT silver or gold-certified desktops, laptops, printers and monitors. We encourage all Loyola students, staff and faculty to consider sustainable information technology equipment.
