UPCOMING WORKSHOPS
You are invited to attend the Parkinson Professional Development Workshop Series for fall 2023 (workshops listed below). These sessions will also be recorded if you are unable to attend:
- Career Exploration, Monday, September 18, 4-5PM in Cuneo Hall 103 (LSC) or via Zoom: https://luc.zoom.us/s/88210573516
Career Exploration is about decision-making, self-reflection (interests/values/skills/personality preferences), and understanding the differences between tasks/organizations/industries, etc. This workshop, presented by Megan Sieberg, Career Services, is a precursor to making a job search plan workshop to be held on Monday, October 16 from 4PM to 5PM.
- Making a Job Search Plan, Monday, October 16, 4-5PM in Cuneo Hall 103 (LSC) or via Zoom: https://luc.zoom.us/s/88210573516
Job Search Planning breaks down ways to search for and apply for jobs, including: using job boards (general and industry-specific), company research, networking/informational interviews. It’s also about helping students understand that job searching is challenging and should be proactive, not passive. We will discuss setting aside time every week for a job/internship search and creating SMART goals.
- Acing the Interview, Monday, November 6, 4-5PM in Cuneo Hall 311 (LSC) or via Zoom: https://luc.zoom.us/s/88210573516
