About
Elena Faramondi graduated in Law in 1994 and began working at law firms. She also taught Italian at the American Academy in Rome. In 2004, she moved to New York, where she received a fellowship at Hunter College, attending courses in English and American Literature. She began working as a translator of documentaries, videos, and papers, and teaching Italian at private schools, and from 2005, at New York University. In 2007, she moved to Houston, where she taught Italian at Rice University and became the Italian coach of opera singers at Houston Grand Opera. She moved back to Rome in 2008 and began teaching Italian at John Cabot University. She also collaborated with an online cultural journal, worked as exams assistant at eCampus University in Rome, and taught Italian to Brazilian Embassy personnel. She periodically attends professional development courses for teaching Italian as a foreign language.
