About

Stefano Giacchetti received his PhD in Philosophy with distinction from Loyola University Chicago, his MA from San Diego State University and his laurea in Sociology from Sapienza University of Rome. His area of research broadly addresses continental philosophy, with a concentration in critical theory, in particular T. W. Adorno. He has recently published as editor and contributor the books Critical Theory and the Challenge of Praxis (Routledge) and Nostalgia for a Redeemed Future (University of Delaware Press). His latest contribution is a chapter for the book Nietzsche and Critical Social Theory (Brill). He served as a member of the executive committee of the Society for European Philosophy, and he is the organizer of the annual International Critical Theory Conference of Rome at the JFRC. He is member of the editorial board of Dissonancia: Journal of Critical Theory and of the Berlin Journal of Critical Theory as co-founder.
