The JFRC Alumni Class Scholarships
Eligibility: All JFRC students.
Future generations of JFRC students will enjoy a transformational opportunity thanks to the generous contributions of the JFRC Alumni Class Scholarships. By doing so, students and classes from previous academic years are helping to share the experience that continues to impact their lives.
Awards are determined by need and provide relief for tuition and related academic charges.
JFRC-Specific Scholarships
Eligibility: Open to any qualified student admitted to a JFRC Summer program.
Benefactors of the JFRC have made this scholarship possible. The Summer Scholarship is intended to provide financial support to encourage students who have a desire to study abroad during the summer. We understand that for some students summer can be the best time to study abroad and achieve their academic goals. The scholarship provides financial relief for tuition.
The John P. and Mary K. Felice Scholarship
Eligibility: GPA of 3.2 or better at the student's current institution.
Felice Scholarships are awarded both in Fall and in Spring. The award is a single-semester scholarship, and receipt of it in Fall semester does not guarantee receipt in a subsequent Spring term.
Alumni and friends of the JFRC recognize, through this endowment, the immeasurable contributions of the late John Paul Felice, founder and original director, and his widow, Mary Kate Felice. The Felice Scholarships provide financial relief for tuition and academic expenses.
The Vogelheim Student Scholarship
Eligibility: Priority will be given to full-year students, but all JFRC students may apply.
Vogelheim Student Scholarships vary in amount depending on whether the recipient is a semester or academic year student. Students enrolled at the JFRC for the full academic year will receive priority, although all eligible students will be considered and are strongly encouraged to apply. This award will provide financial relief for tuition and academic expenses.
Through the generosity of the Katie Vogelheim (JFRC 1977-78), John Hansen, and the John and Kate Hansen Family Foundation, the Vogelheim Student Scholarships encourage students from all financial backgrounds to apply to study at the JFRC. The scholarship will help to ensure that the JFRC remains financially accessible to a diverse student population.
The Carol T. Robbins Visiting Student Scholarship
Eligibility: All non-Loyola University Chicago students.
This scholarship helps offset tuition and related academic charges; a portion may be used toward study trips while in Rome.
Established by Carol Robbins (JFRC 1964-65), this scholarship is intended to make the JFRC more accessible to individuals from varied geographical, religious, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, including non-Catholic schools.
The Anthony and Susan Brazier Piazza Scholarship
Eligibility: All JFRC students.
The scholarship will provide support to one or more students attending the JFRC each year.
In an effort to encourage more students to attend the John Felice Rome Center and experience firsthand this life-changing study abroad program, Susan (JFRC Spring 1963) and Anthony (JFRC 1962-63) Piazza have generously endowed a scholarship fund.
The Domenico Zipoli Scholarship
Eligibility: All JFRC students.
Zipoli scholarships are awarded for a semester of study at the JFRC.
