What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
Serving our Loyola Community.
What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
There have been many memorable achievements during my employment at Loyola, but there is one that truly stands out. As a full-time Loyola employee (and full-time parent), I was eligible to utilize the tuition benefit to complete my bachelor’s degree through the SCPS Program. I graduated with honors in May 2013. I will always cherish this gift of education and am proud of what I worked so hard to accomplish. Thank you, Loyola.
What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
My faith is most important to me in my life. As I walk in the door in the morning in Lewis Towers, I stop by the Blessed Mother and Child statue and do the sign of the cross knowing that my work day has just started well. Loyola’s mission almost cradles us as we work for a University that seeks God in all things.
What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
Besides my family and being able to pay my bills, loving my job and the environment I work in truly motivates me. Sometimes to succeed all you need is to be surrounded by a good team, and I have. Also, there is nothing like getting a sincere “thank you” from someone I assisted. That type of simple gesture just motivates me even more, knowing that I am valued and appreciated.
Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
I wear my Loyola gear on and off-campus.
Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
I love to sketch and draw portraits of people.
