Students Around the World Reflect on Laudato Si'
In May 2015, Pope Francis addressed the harmful effects of human actions and attitudes toward the Earth in his encyclical “Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home.” Seven years later, his words continue to inspire action. To recommit ourselves to the journey of sustainability, Loyola University Chicago celebrates Laudato Si’ Week. The event highlights the seven goals laid out in the Seven Year Laudato Si’ Action Platform.
In a series of videos, university students from around the world reflected on the action platform's goals in relation to their own lives, studies, and communities. Their voices remind us that we can build a better relationship with each other and the Earth and make positive changes in our world.
The videos below describe how students worldwide are taking action in their own lives and in their communities.
