Peter Jones

Peter Jones, PhDPeter Jones, PhD, is the Interim Dean for the Institute of Pastoral Studies (IPS) at Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Jones joined the IPS faculty in 2013. His passion is teaching and he has been able to teach several different kinds of courses at Loyola and has served as an academic advisor to be involved in the journey of many students. Jones’s teaching philosophy includes a commitment to get students sharing with each other and has research interests in theology and ethics, political economies, social theory and cultural studies, and theological anthropology.

Jones holds his PhD from Southern Methodist University, his BBA (business management) and MTS from the Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University.

He is involved outside of Loyola and has professional and community affiliations with the Society of Christian Ethics and the Catholic Theological Society of America.
