Dr. Daniel Keller is a licensed clinical psychologist who joined the Wellness Center in the spring of 2005. Dr. Keller was born and raised in Switzerland and first came to the United States as an exchange student in high school. He received his doctorate from Kent State University in 1995 where he trained and worked at the university student counseling center for several years. After completing his clinical internship at Northwestern University Medical School, Dr. Keller began working with neglected/abused children and adolescents at Maryville Academy. He greatly enjoys his career as a psychologist and especially likes the individual differences of people he comes to meet and work with on a daily basis. While Dr. Keller has been trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, his special interest lies in helping clients explore and work through the role the unconscious might play in the development and maintenance of emotional and behavioral difficulties. In addition to his work at Loyola, Dr. Keller maintains a private practice in Chicago. In his free time, Dr. Keller enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring the many cultural opportunities of Chicago. He is also an avid traveler who thrives on the personal and cultural challenges one faces in the course of travel at home and abroad.
