Emmanuel “Manny” Serna is a registered nurse who joined the Wellness Center in March 2021. He holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Purdue University Northwest and an associate degree in applied sciences from Wilbur Wright College. Prior to joining the team at Loyola University, Manny served as a clinician and manager at psychiatric-focused residential care facilities. He loves being a nurse because it gives him the opportunity to interact with diverse populations and challenges him to be a lifelong learner. In his free time, Manny enjoys playing video games, snacking and exercising. He especially loves jogging along Chicago’s beautiful lakefront. He’s also a proud dad to two high-maintenance cats, Nebula and Super Nova.
