CSME Research Faculty and Staff

MaryBeth Talbot, Research Assistant Professor

Mary (MaryBeth) Talbot is a member of the research and evaluation team at the Center for Science and Math Education (CSME).  She earned her Ph.D. in Applied Social Psychology from Loyola University Chicago in 2014. Dr. Talbot has worked as an evaluator, researcher, and education policy analyst since 2012 and held positions at the Center for Research on Education Outcomes (CREDO) at Stanford University, Outlier Research and Evaluation at the University of Chicago, and LEAP Innovations.  Her professional interests include research and evaluation methodology as well as research at the interface between education and Social Psychology (e.g. equity and accessibility in STEM education, stereotype threat, and impacts of growth mindset etc.).  In addition to evaluation and research, Dr. Talbot has taught various undergraduate psychology courses, particularly research methodology.
