Honors & Pinning
Each semester, Loyola Nursing honors Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Accelerated BSN graduates at Honors & Pinning ceremonies. This tradition recognizes graduates' transition to the first phase of their nursing career: from student to professional. It is usually held at the Madonna della Strada chapel on Loyola University Chicago’s Lake Shore Campus.

Day of Scholarship
The Day of Scholarship celebrates the culmination of Loyola Nursing's graduate students' studies and research. Classmates, faculty, friends, and families are invited to our Day of Scholarship ceremonies to watch as students present their final papers on self-selected health care topics.
Distinguished Speaker
Loyola Nursing master’s and doctoral committee, The Institute for Transformative Interprofessional Education (I-TIE), and Trinity Health collaborate on this annual event for nursing and medical students, RNs, APRNs, MDs, pharmacists, social services professionals, and anyone else interested in the topic. Interprofessional continuing education credits are awarded upon completion of the program evaluation.
Dedication to the Profession
A time for students to reflect and pledge themselves to the health care profession, the School of Nursing's Dedication to the Profession marks a significant milestone in the educational journey of our nursing students. Loyola faculty preside over the ceremony and bless the hands of students, alumni, and other health care professionals who attend.
Nurses Month
Each May, the American Nurses Association (ANA) hosts a month-long celebration of the nursing profession. As a leader in nursing education, Loyola University Chicago's Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing is proud to join our colleagues from across the country in recognizing the invaluable contributions of nurses.
