Being A Beacon

Krystal's journey at Loyola University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) began as a young mother seeking personal and professional growth. She initially pursued an associate degree at a city college and then enrolled in Loyola's School of Social Work. However, her evolving career led her to a crossroads, and she transitioned to Loyola's SCPS, aligning more closely with her professional trajectory. Krystal became an ambassador at SCPS to inspire and guide others, especially parents and working adults, in making challenging yet rewarding choices to pursue their dreams.

"I want to be a beacon, encouraging them to make difficult yet rewarding choices in pursuit of their dreams."

Krystal's experience at SCPS has been transformative, propelling her career advancement and allowing her to be published in healthcare articles and a guest speaker at prestigious institutions. The practical, real-world relevance of the courses at SCPS has equipped her with the skills and knowledge to succeed.

Being an ambassador at SCPS holds profound significance for Krystal, given her background and the challenges she has overcome. Through this role, she aspires to inspire, support, and guide students, emphasizing that determination, grit, and the right guidance can help individuals from any background achieve success and realize their dreams.

"Through this role, I aspire to inspire, support, and guide students, showing them that irrespective of their beginnings, with determination, grit, and the right guidance, they can chart their path to success and make their dreams a reality."
