Certificate Programs

Certificate Programs

In addition to the MA and D.Bioethics programs, we offer four-course (12 credit hour), online and blended graduate certificate programs: Clinical Bioethics, Bioethics and Health Policy, and Catholic Healthcare Ethics.

The Clinical Bioethics Certificate Program provides the foundational knowledge and skills clinicians need for patient care, to participate meaningfully on an ethics committee, or to conduct clinical ethics consultations.

The Catholic Healthcare Ethics Certificate Program provides a theological foundation for healthcare professionals who want to engage in ethical questions at the intersection of faith and bioethics.

Students who wish to matriculate into the MA program may apply certificate credit toward that degree and should present a strong academic performance in their coursework to be considered for the master's. Certificate applicants are not required to possess a graduate or professional degree.
