Thomas Neitzke

Vice President and Special Assistant to the President; Dean, Arrupe College

Thomas NeitzkeThomas W. Neitzke, SJ, Ed.D. is Dean of Arrupe College and serves as Vice President and Special Assistant to the President at Loyola University Chicago. He also holds a faculty position in the School of Education. Fr. Tom earned an undergraduate degree in philosophy from Loyola University Chicago, a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of San Francisco, a master of divinity degree from Santa Clara University, and a doctorate from Creighton University focusing on educational leadership. His dissertation, Jesuit Collaborative Fundraising: Religious and Secular Non-Profit Partnerships, studied the historical and modern roots of Jesuit fundraising and presented a collaborative process between secular and religious non-profit organizations.

Fr. Tom previously served as president of Creighton Preparatory School in Omaha and was also an adjunct faculty member at Creighton University in the Graduate School. He taught strategic and political leadership courses, school law, foundations of education and supervised internships in elementary/secondary administration. Fr. Tom was the president and principal of the Jesuit Academy in Omaha. He served as chairman of the board at Creighton Preparatory School before his term as president and currently serves on the boards of Marquette University, Scranton University, Cristo Rey National Network, and Marquette University High School. His past board service includes Georgetown Preparatory School, Seattle University, Brophy College Preparatory School, Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands, and Loyola Academy.
