About

Teaching experience includes graduate nursing acute care management and practicum courses, emergency care, APRN role transition/leadership, suturing/advanced wound care, acute care skills and courses related to emergency/acute care advanced practice nursing.  Volunteer service with the Emergency Nurses Association, IL State Council Past President, Secretary and Co-chair of the Membership Committee, member of the Research, Education, Government Affairs and Spring Symposium Committees; serves on the IL Poison Center Advisory Board and on the Masters & Doctorate Committees and DNP Task Force Committees; member of the ENA, AAENP, AANP, AACN, ISAPN, and STTI professional nursing organizations.

Research Interests

Alcohol screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment (SBIRT), substance use disorders, early pregnancy loss management, family presence during resuscitation, HIV/STD testing and management, and EMS/Pre-hospital protocols.
