Nobly and selflessly, U.S. military personnel serve their country. The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) at Loyola University Chicago honors that sacrifice and ensures veterans and active military interested in pursuing a degree receive the support they need to accomplish their life’s next mission.
Federal Programs for Veterans
Loyola University Chicago is supportive of those who have served our country and recognizes the unique experiences that military veteran students bring to our campuses. Loyola’s Military Veteran Student Services (MVSS) helps ease the transition from military service to higher education and aims to support veterans and active military personnel in numerous ways, including financially.
Loyola participates in all applicable federal programs for military veterans, active service persons, and their dependents. For a complete listing of grants and scholarships available, please visit Loyola University Chicago’s Financial Aid Office.
Course Credit for Qualified Military Experiences
The American Council on Education (ACE) has evaluated many non-collegiate learning experiences and training programs sponsored by major companies and institutions, including the U.S. military. Loyola will award credit toward a bachelor’s degree for qualified learning experiences and training programs in accordance with ACE recommendations. You can request your Joint Services Transcript (JST) through ACE.
