Stritch - Cancer Biology
Welcome!
The Department of Cancer Biology at Loyola University Chicago Health Sciences Campus is dedicated to excellence in research and education. Located in the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, departmental faculty pursue translational and basic research questions across multiple cancer-related focus areas. Departmental faculty work closely with our clinical colleagues. Together, we aim to make transformative discoveries regarding the biology of human cancer and effectively translate those findings into clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.
In addition to their cancer research, departmental faculty are committed to graduate and medical student education. Training the next generation of cancer researchers through our graduate programs is a priority, and our highly competitive graduates are well prepared for research careers in academia, industry, or clinical research. Our faculty directly contribute to medical education in the Stritch School of Medicine and provide mentored research opportunities for our medical students, residents and fellows.
The Department of Cancer Biology is proud to provide a rich, highly interactive scientific environment for conducting research. Central to our success is the highly collaborative culture that characterizes the department. Our faculty is experiencing an exciting phase of growth in alignment with Loyola’s commitment to advancing cancer research on campus. We welcome your interest in our department.
