Chandra James is a Science Instructional Coach supporting implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards and high-quality science instruction in Chicago schools.  She is a retired Chicago Public Schools administrator.  During her 35 year tenure with Chicago Public Schools, she has served as a teacher, school building administrator and the Director of Science for the district.  Chandra earned a Bachelor of Science from Northern Illinois University and a M.Ed. in Urban Education from Cambridge College in Massachusetts. She has always had a passion for science education and has devoted her entire career to supporting science in urban schools.
