- LUC encourages employee development and achievement of career goals and invites qualified employees to seek new opportunities and challenges through promotions and transfers. Generally, employees in good standing must be in their current position for at least six months before applying for a promotion or transfer outside their business unit. Normally, an employee with an active written warning will not be allowed to apply for a position for six (6) months from the date of discipline. An employee with an active suspension will not be allowed to apply for a position for one (1) year from the date of discipline. Any exceptions will need to be reviewed and approved by Human Resources and the employee’s Department Head.
